How can I change from Windows NT to Windows XP?

My PC crashed and now I am trying to set up a %26quot;new%26quot; used one that has Windows NT. I have my original Windows XP disc. Can I just copy over the NT?

First enter the BIOS of the NT machine and set the boot sequence so that the CD drive boots prior to the hard drive. Next put you XP installation CD into the CD drive and restart the computer. From here on Windows should walk you through the installation.



You will need to locate the motherboard drives for at least the Sound, Video, and probably the PCI buss bridge or the Chip Set.
