My friend, shes real dumb, and forgot her password and she is the only %26quot;user%26quot; on the computer. Is there anyway that you can fix this without reprogramming windows to its original settings and losing all work?
How to change a windows XP password...?
First, when first turning on your computer, press F8 a bunch of times until a black screen comes up with words on it. Then, press the up key and select safe mode. After that, a log-in screen will come up and you will see an administrator account. Try to log into that one. Once you're in, go to start, run, type cmd, then in the little box that comes up type: net user (your friend's user name) (Your friend's desired password). So if her log-in name is Lisa and she wants her password to be daisy, you would type net user Lisa daisy.
If none of that works, download a program called OphCrack. Burn it onto a cd and put it in the cd drive. Then restart the computer. It will open a program automatically that tells you all the passwords on the computer.

Yes there is. However, you need a hack CD from microsoft
while windows is starting up press i think f6 or f8 and it will bring up a menu press start windows in safe mode and it will let you choose a administrator o the loggin screen and you can delete the old password

There is a way.. but only a experience user can do..
First install linux Operationg system. Then from linux operating system take out your data n tranfer somewhere else. than reformat your pc.. (easy method), the hard method is from the linux change a few window system file.. ( really not for dummies)
Other way is surf the net for website that have crack program that allow you to crack that password for your window. (be very carefull with this virus program).
