ok that guy that said 512 mb of ram dont nkow wut hes talkin about. i have 2 pcs. one with 512 and the other with 366. the 366 runs fine. im usin it now. anything below 128 will run SLOW. the minimum for xp is 128 and the minimum for ME is 64mb i believe. if im wrong correct me. but yah, make sure u have at least 128 mb of ram. buy an xp upgrade disk. run the wizard, because apparently you dont know much about a computer if u dont know how to change a operating system.

buy the windows xp upgrade version. make sure you have your ME cds because if you have to reformat you need to install that first. Make sure your system fits the min requirements at least. Else you can't install it.
Buy a Windows XP upgrade CD and you can upgrade. It goes for around $100. Boot up into Windows, stick the CD in and it should take you through a wizard.
Before you upgrade, you want to make sure you have at least 512MB RAM. Anything less, your system will crawl with XP.
You need to purchase XP and install it as an upgrade.

Backup your various documents, files, pictures, email, favorites... all of it because when you install windows XP you will be reformatting your hard drive erasing everything off of it. You can use the cheaper windows upgrade version because you can upgrade from windows ME. As you install windows chose ntfs as your file format, it works best with windows and makes the most use of your available disk space.
